FIX - ALLOW SUPER SPEED - Festivals and Loud Neighbor by Pawlq

This time I have for you time fix mod

Without mod:
When Sim is slepping or he/she is in work, time switch to superspeed (4x - very fast). But during festival or when neighbors are laud, game slow down to 1x speed (normal) and don't allow turn on 4x speed.
This is really annoying and slows the game down.

With mod:
Now super speed (4x) will not stopped by festivals or noise. When you click on triple arrow (3x speed) time automatic switch to 4x speed - like at night when sim sleep.

FIX - Attend to Rabbit Hole events by Pawlq

In EP City Living EA added invite to event like Opera, Circus or Concert.
Last patch (witch Toddlers) crash it and Sims don't attend to events.

So I made they go now

In XML file this event was 0 hour in duraction (reason why it did not work). I change it for 4 hours (like was before last update).

Fix - Not Sitting While Playing on Console by Pawlq

I was inspired by Ravenwolf to create this mod. He made fix for watching TV

Unfortunately EA crash Sims behavior with any TV interactions - they stay front to TV, don't want to sit on sofa or chair

My mod fix sitting while playing video games on console.

Like in Ravenwolf's mod - changed advertising for the sofa, chair, and love seat from 10 to 1000 in file game. Now Sim sit when playing on console.

Fix For Sims Not Sitting While Watching TV by Ravynwolvf

You could call this a temporary fix (until Maxis finds time in their busy day making packs to sell to fix it) for the bug where Sims are not sitting on a sofa or chair while watching TV or movies. I'm still not sure what became broken, but I went in and changed the advertising for the sofa, chair, and love seat from 10 to 1000, and it seems vastly improved. The Sims in my own game now use the seating about 95% of the time (occasionally they will still stand for whatever arcane reason they may have).

Unfortunately, because I didn't really fix the problem and instead more or less overpowered it, everyone else's own results may be slightly different; I just can't be sure with all the variables. I've been using it for a couple of days now, visiting different Sim's houses, and it has performed great. But different seating arrangements, Sim traits, emotions, etc, may throw it off. But hopefully you should see a big improvement in how often they decide to bend their knees.

They probably still won't sit down on items like beds, and various other seating items, simply because I didn't change the advertising on EVERYTHING. As it was, there was quite the list of xml files I had to edit to cover all the different channels and movies. And I still I couldn't get them to plant their tuchuses while playing video games using the same approach; not sure if I missed some files or what, but the way they decide to sit seems slightly different there.

There are two files; one JUST fixes the bug while watching TV, and the other JUST fixes the watching of movies that came in Movie Hangout Stuff, for which you'd need that pack. So you would want BOTH if you have Movie Hangout, and just the TV one if you don't.

So what the packages do is override the normal advertising on seating (just while using the TV) and should improve how often Sims choose to sit while watching TV or movies.

Updated CC Wrench Icon Hiders for the 12/01/2016 Patch

The CC wrench icon hiders have been updated for the 12/01/2016 patch.  As before, there are 3 options available.

No Icons:

This removes the wrench from both the large catalog thumbnail and the individual swatch thumbnails.

No Swatch Icons:

This removes the wrench from the swatch icons but leaves the one on the large catalog thumbnail so that the item is still easily identified as CC.

Dot Icon:

This option replaces the wrench on the swatches with a small dot that doesn't cover the entire swatch, and leaves the icon on the large catalog thumbnail in tact.

Simulation Lag Fix by simmythesim

This mod alters the game's simulation so that sim autonomy does not cause massive simulation lag in instances where there are many autonomy requests.

This should eliminate, or at the very least, alleviate, the following problems:
sims head bobbing, sims doing nothing for a few hours, time slowing down on Speed 3, and time going back to the past.

Everything runs much more frequently now, preventing the "bobbing head" effect. I haven't experienced any time rolling-back since I made the mod!

Fruit Punch Bowl Route Fail Fix by coolspear1

Fruit Punch Bowl Route Fail Fix

A temporary fix needed to allow sims to fill the buffet table with food if a fruit punch bowl sits on top. The genius cyclone patch 1.19 and the Dine Out GP somehow made many of the counter top appliances have a slightly larger green placement footprint.

It messed up a few things, like in my own game the cappuccino machine and coffee grinder had to be placed on the largest counter tops. I've had them sitting successfully on smaller corner counters in my sim's home since Get Together was released, but after Dine Out and 1.19, nothing but route fails if I tried to use them, till I put them on largest size kitchen counters. That was an easy fix.

But the fruit punch bowl on top of the buffet table? Not as easy a fix without a mod. Fruit punch bowl footprint again slightly bigger, but now so big it blocks the sims from filling the buffet table with food. Genius!

This temporary fix removes the footprint from the fruit punch bowl so it no longer blocks access to the buffet table. I say temporary, in the hopes Maxis fix this themselves and we can get rid of this mod. But until then, this is the fix for now.

Dine Out Restaurant Menu Fix by OhMySims404

I don’t know if it was intended by EA or not, but anyway I fixed the issue where the Superfood Salad from Spa Day (GP02) didn’t appear on the restaurant menu.

It is likely EA will fix this problem in their next patch, but until then this mod will be useful. And, if there is other food that doesn’t appear either, reply to me with the the name of food and I’ll see it if I can fix it too.

Thin Book Tuning Fix by Menaceman44

This fix came about after I looked into making some magazines for my Sims to read, seeing as how popular they seem to be as of late.

I couldn't understand why the Spa workers could hold and read the Spa magazines without issue but when regular Sims tried, they would handle the book as if it was a thick book and it would stretch in their hands when opened.

It turns out that the Sims Team have got some of the tuning for thin books wrong and listed them as regular books in the game code instead.

Info
Books in The Sims 4 can either be thick books or thin books. They are referred to in the coding as "book" or "bookThin" respectively. For most of the thin books in the game, the development team have forgotten to set the value to "bookThin" and instead left it as "book." This has the effect of making thin books stretch to the dimensions of a thick book when opened and read, as well as meaning that Sims use the wrong hand carry pose.
This fix overrides the affected tuning to correct these mistakes. There are 14 tuning overrides in all, listed below.

Thumbnail Icon Replacement by Andrew and OM

This will replace the gigantic wrench on your swatches with a small dot in the upper left corner while leaving the wrench on the main large catalog thumbnail. It will work on all custom content including hair, skin tones, and eyes.

Thumbnail Icon Mods by Andrew

If you would like to keep the catalog thumbnail icon but get rid of the swatch thumbnail icons this is the mod for you.  Enjoy!

If you would prefer to get rid of the catalog thumbnail and the swatch thumbnail there is a mod for that below.

It's sort of unclear why EA felt the need to add this ugly icon to custom content catalog thumbnails at the same time they were adding a helpful CC filter.  It's incomprehensible that they obliterated custom content swatch thumbnails with it. The filter they added...great.  This ugly, icon all over the place?...not so much.  This isn't just a bad idea...it is a bad implementation of a bad idea.  CC creators cannot do anything about it because EA didn't put control over it for specific items in a moddable place.  Why?  Your guess is as good as mine.  The best we can do is just blank out the stupid wrench image...or crab claw...or whatever this thing is supposed to be.

This mod will get rid of it.  Put this mod in your mods folder and bye bye ugly icons.

Category fix for GTW objects Maxis forgot to include. by coolspear1

With the patch last November, Maxis changed many of the GTW objects to be available in normal residential buy mode. But, you know Maxis, they only went and forgot a few. So I'll tidy up their faux pas and make them available in residential buy mode.

Two objects Maxis definitely forgot are:
1) The Galvanized Industrial Wall Pipe - cost 290 simoleons - Now made available for residential and found in Decorations / Wall Decorations.
2) The Still Ambiguous Lab Case - cost 320 simoleons - Now made available for residential and found in Decorations / Misc and also Electrical / Misc.

The third object I don't think Maxis forgot, but I think it should have been opened up for availability considering its usefulness.
3) Corporate Fridge Raider - cost 1575 simoleons - Now made available for residential buy mode and found in Appliances / Fridges and also made available to be placed on every type of venue, not just for a couple of GTW venues. Like I said, this object is far too useful to be so limited.

These are not cloned or new objects. They only change certain values of existing objects. Of course, you will need to have Get To Work installed for these ObjectCatalog.binary file mods to be of any use to you.

All files have been kept separate so you can pick the ones you want, and also in case Maxis pull their finger out and fix the first two themselves, then you can get rid of these two mods. But I doubt they'll ever be making the fridge available in residential buy mode or boosting it to be available in all venue types.

Reset Bathing Outfit by Lynire

This mod resets the bathing outfit for a sim or for all sims. It is for fixing problems such as sims showering in clothes or sims having undesirable makeup or hair when they use their bathing outfit. It does this by removing and then, if currently worn, also regenerating the bathing outfit for a sim or all sims. If the sim is not wearing the bathing outfit when it gets reset, then the next time they do an activity that uses it the game will generate it.

Note: I tried using scumbumbo's method of simply generating the bathing outfit used in their "Outfit Tools" mod, but for my test sim this didn't change the existing bathing outfit. I don't know if that is due to the recent game patch or something else. So I elected to remove the outfit if it exists and then generate it, which worked for my test sim. I was asked to mention that scumbumbo's outfit tools wasn't working with the latest game patch at the time of this writing. In addition to the difference mentioned here, this mod differs from the bathing outfit reset used by scumbumbo's Outfit Tools in that you have the option with this mod to reset an individual sim's bathing outfit.
